Installation is a simple matter of running the EXE file on the target device, with options to install silently and to hide the configuration UI from the user. However, once I found the equivalent TrendNet support document, the information was correct and complete. The Linksys firewall used for testing was still listed under the older TrendNet name, for example, even though it was shipped as a Linksys and is not an old model. There are dozens of separate install documents that go through the necessary settings for many different varieties of firewalls and VPN servers, although not everything is as up to date as it might be.

It also supports Microsoft Windows 10 ($139.00 at Microsoft Store) today. They support all of the standard VPN functions, including IPSec, SSL, IKEv1 and IKEv2, IPv4 and IPv6, and a wide array of USB tokens and smart cards, which can be used to authenticate the connection.

Versions for Android and Linux are also available. TheGreenBow VPN Client Premium also offers the advanced Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) management options to which enterprise IT administrators are accustomed. Premium is designed for easy integration with third-party software management platforms for large deployments (we tested the VPN Client, which lacks these features as it's aimed at home telecommuters and road warriors).
The primary difference between the two centers on deployment capabilities. TheGreenBow IPSec VPN Client or VPN Client Premium are available as free 30-day trial versions, while paid versions go for $79 per user for the VPN Client and $160 per user for the VPN Client Premium. Only its lack of Apple support and the price tag keep TheGreenbow IPSec VPN Client behind NCP Secure Entry Client for Win32/64 ($144.00 at NCP), our Editors' Choice winner in this category. TheGreenBow also makes a certified version that complies with CC EA元+ requirements for government agencies and contractors. Even so, the company offers deployment features that should take the headache out of enabling VPNs for all remote users they can even customize the software for service providers, like a web hosting provider, for example, that wanted to add VPN support as one of its customer options. A solid platform, this client's main downside is that it doesn't currently support Apple iOS or OS X, which is disappointing. TheGreenBow IPSec VPN Client offers this consistent feature set and user interface (UI) across multiple platforms with its VPN client. This means easier installation through silent install files that can be emailed to users, keys that can be stored on USB drives or fobs as well as smart cards, or even integrated into the remote device itself, providing an all-in-one multi-factor security process. However, more than that, you should also consider that third-party clients possess more options and features than built-in clients. That means delivering heightened consistency, dedicated support, and manageability across multiple OSes at a minimum.
So any company offering a third-party business VPN client, such as TheGreenBow IPSec VPN Client (which begins at $79), needs to deliver significantly more than what businesses have already got as part of previous investments. These days you can find virtual private network (VPN) clients as native parts of many modern operating systems (OSes), including Apple iOS and OS X, Linux, Microsoft Windows, and more.
